Assembly of The Holy Church In The Lord Jesus Christ In The Apostles' Doctrine headquartered in Columbia, SC. with branch churches in Charlotte, NC, Orangeburg, SC and Orlando, FL. A native of Columbia, SC, he is the eldest son of Mr. Charles and Mrs. Catherine Sims. He was educated in the Richland County, SC public school system in Columbia, graduating from Dreher High School in 1987. He obtained his post secondary education at the University of South Carolina at Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in History/Religious Studies, 1995 and a Master of Education in Community and Occupational Education, Adult Education, 1996. Currently he is pursuing a Juris Doctorate in Law Degree. He received his spiritual and biblical education under the training and leadership of his pastor and mentor, the late Bishop Andrew C. Jackson, vice presiding Bishop of the Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, World-Wide, Inc (Atlas Road) Columbia, SC for over 19 years. He served as the first General Secretary of United Church of God of the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of the late Bishop Grady Cooks, headquartered in Johnston, SC where he developed it's organization structure and started it's Quarterly and 5th Sunday Fellowship services He furthered his religious training under the tutelage of Bishop William L Bonner, pastor of the Refuge Temple Church of Harlem, NY and the Chief Apostle and Prelate of the Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. In 1993, Pastor Sims was consecrated to the office of Bishop by Bishop Earl Hall of the United Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Denton, Maryland. In addition to his religious pursuits. Bishop Sims is also the owner and broker in charge of Carolinas Priority Realty, a full service real estate firm in Charlotte, NC since 1999. Before entering into the real estate business, Bishop Sims worked in public education at Central Carolina Christian Academy and Richland School District One, Columbia, SC and Central Piedmont Community College and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC. Bishop Sims is also active in his community. Bishop Sims’ motto in life is to “be the best and do the best you can for God, Self, Family and Mankind, always remembering whatever a man sows he will definitely reap.” Bishop Sims is always thankful with immense gratitude for his early childhood training and parenting given him by his paternal grandmother, Mother Narvis Sims, a church mother, missionary and great woman of God. He praises the Lord Jesus Christ daily for giving him such a wonderful gift. And although Mother Sims has fallen asleep awaiting her heavenly reward from the Lord Jesus Christ, her spirit is ever guiding and encouraging Bishop Sims and the Holy Church Family to keep on keeping on, the victory is already won. He also gives the Lord Jesus Christ the highest praises for his Spiritual Mother, Mother Janie R. Jackson of the Bible Way Church of Atlas Road and her mid-wives, Mother Lottie Reese and the late Mother Josephine Anderson who assisted in his spiritual birth. To God Be The Glory!
